It’s scary to speak up, I noticed i’ve been hiding behind my work. My mood films that do the talking for me. I’m training myself to speak up. About activism, about what I’m feeling, trying to create an opinion that i can articulate properly. My mind is always racing and when I try to explain what I want to say, just nothingness comes out. I’m sort of saying to myself “nevermind you can’t form a good opinion anyway” or “everyone in the room is smarter than you so what have you to offer?” Practice makes perfect! Getting comfortable getting the words out, in english & dutch. Whatever feels best on that day.
