is an interdisciplinary artist active in Rotterdam and The Hague. She uses film, fashion, theatre, and graphic design to explore her diaspora as a Surinamese-Hindustani and Indo-Caribbean woman living in the Netherlands. Decolonisation, self-discovery and community are central themes of her work. Collaborating with fellow activists/artists (to learn and uplift each other) is also essential to Ruby. She's on a journey of culture reclamation and creating a future that includes us all.
