Hi, my name is Ruby Joemai, 25 years old and I live in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands.
You could label me as many things… An equal rights activist, a Creative\Art director, filmmaker, concept creator, and fashion designer.
That sounds like a lot… And trust me, it is. (I also have a degree in web and graphic design, but let’s save that for when we have some coffee!)

I am a Fashion designer for my clothing label KAM KARI LA. A ready-to-wear collection inspired by strong female characters who want to bring their culture into the western business world. I am here to transform the way we bring our culture into our professional lives.
Alongside my fashion label, I also write and direct mood films. These films are where I try to make you feel raw emotions. My latest fashion mood film SOAKED DAY was all about not knowing you might be working yourself into getting a burnout. The feeling of drowning in work. And TOMORROW is the sequel of soaked day where the main character has her realization moment where she needs to start listening to her body.
